What is Wiskott Aldrich Syndrome (WAS)
Wiskott Aldrich Syndrome is a rare autoimmune deficiency found only in boys. Children suffering from WAS can have low platelets and bleeding, immunodeficiency and infection, increased incidence of malignancies, including lymphoma and leukemia, and eczema. At present, the only hope for a cure is a successful bone marrow or cord blood transplant. The goal of The WAS Foundation is to save lives by connecting WAS families with the global medical community, funding hardship grants and medical research. With your generous tax-deductible support, we will be able to accomplish all of these goals.
